We have used this service many times over the last year when
traveling out of town and unable to take the dog with us. Our collie “Mari”
does not do well staying in a kennel. Kelsey has provided us with the highest
level of pet care. This allows us to keep our dog home, where she is more
comfortable, when we are away.
When we returned from our trips, Kelsey left us a journal as
to her arrival time(s) on each day we were gone, the activity and the duration,
and what took place. This was a service that my wife and I did not expect. We
not only considered it professional, but a very nice touch.
Kelsey is also a certified dog trainer. If you need help in
this area, she will provide it. She can give you tips on how to re-enforce the
training that you’re pet receives. Kelsey is also knowledgeable in the areas
of nutrition and grooming.
Kelsey will keep an eye on your home while you are away.
She will take mail and other outside deliveries that arrive during your
absence, into the house where they will be more secure.
My wife and I highly recommend “Got Leash – Will Travel” if
you need your dog looked after on a regular basis or just going out of town for
a few days and cannot take your pet. Kelsey’s service will provide you with
peace of mind.

This letter serves to recommend Kelsey Parker as a trusted
and professional caretaker/trainer for your pets. As a military couple moving
and traveling frequently, we have had extensive experience with pet sitters.
Kelsey is the best one that we have had. She has walked, exercised, played
with, fed, and even cleaned up after our animals. Kelsey has not only given
our pet’s mental and physical exercise, but plenty of pampering and attention.
She has done an amazing job.
We have found Kelsey to be knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable,
kind, and attentive to all of our animals, In addition, we have a challenging
situation in that two of our three dogs to not get along and Kelsey has given
our situation special attention and has taken it very seriously. Her training
skills coupled with her genuine love of animals makes her a perfect companion
for your pets. As longtime and dedicated dog owners we highly recommend Kelsey
Parker as a dog walker/sitter/trainer for you and your pets.

I met Kelsey Parker in January 2007. It was evident from
the first time we saw her interact with Gabe, our 5 year old retired racing
greyhound, that she would be great for our boy. Gabe is a great listener and
quick learner, but he is a nervous and anxious dog who really acts out when he
is alone if we are not careful to follow the guidelines for dogs with
separation anxiety.
Kelsey promptly made herself available to us at our home, my
family was able to meet her and she could see Gabe’s home environment. We were
able to discuss what our current habits, routines, issues and needs were and
develop mutually agreeable plans for caring for Gabe, a schedule for her
visits, price and payment. We had no reservations about having her into our
home while we were at work or about giving her house keys.
Kelsey arrived on time, stated her credentials, offered
references and provided us with a clear plan then left it up to us. We
discussed what we could expect from her and her from us on a client/provider
level. We were not belittled, intimidated or pressured.
Kelsey showed up as scheduled. We kept a running log of her
visits and each left notes about Gabe’s accomplishments and setbacks. The log,
notebook, was a good way for us to communicate because I could look at it when
I got home at my leisure, and didn’t have to fight for the computer or hunt
down emails of our correspondences. I respect the fact that this is Kelsey’s
business and that she won’t answer her phone if she is with a “client/dog”.
She always responded back to me ASAP when I left a message or email.
We are very pleased and impressed with her dog
experience(s). We were really looking to find a new home for Gabe when we met
Kelsey. We needed her to help us meet Gabe’s needs while I had to be at work,
mainly to walk him and check on him until he got a new home.
Kelsey’s help with Gabe and friendly, professional advice
has enabled and encouraged us to keep working with our retired racer and things
are so much better for Gabe, and us!
I, we, highly recommend her
and wish her the best. If you have any questions, please write.
Very Respectfully,

I highly recommend Kelsey Parker of “Got Leash – Will
Travel” for dog sitting/training services. She has provided my dog with transportation,
walking/exercise and some training services. Kelsey has been loving, caring
and patient with my dog, and she clearly has a special bond with dogs in general.
Kelsey has also been reliable and a delight to work with. My dog and I will
miss her. Please feel free to write if you would like a reference.

I found my dog "Puppy" after he had been hit by a car. I nursed him back to health, and then I realized he had a few potentially serious issues.
I had met Kelsey when she brought her Maltese "Ashton" to my shop to be groomed. We started talking about "Puppy" and Kelsey gave me pointers on how to handle him when he wouldn't allow anyone near me and when he growled at strangers. Puppy came so far with Kelsey's help/expertise that he was able to complete his CGC (Canine Good Citizen).
Kelsey and her good friend Carol Ellia discussed with my husband and me a venture to start obedience training and CGC classes at my place of business. I own a grooming/pet sitting/day care business called "Sitting Pretty" in Stafford, Va. I hired Kelsey and her friend Carol Ellia to come in and teach some classes on obedience and CGC. The classes were so well received that Kelsey continued to teach at my place. Her friend Carol couldn't continue due to her time constraints. Kelsey next taught a puppy class and everyone in the class benefited from her passion and enthusiasm. It was contagious to her students. The dogs really responded well to her style of training. When Kelsey teaches, she explains everything she is going to do before she does it. This sounds simple, but in my experience I have never come across that style of training. She will go over it as many times as necessary for everyone to feel comfortable with it. She never singles out anyone for doing something wrong, but will always find something to compliment and gently suggest the correct way. No-one around the "corrected" person will be aware of any problem. Or, she will suggest that there are "a few people having difficulty", so let's do it again together. By the time Kelsey has ended the class for the day, everyone is feeling quite positive and all are smiling and looking forward to the next class.
I was so interested in Kelsey's training methods that I asked her if I could do a swap, grooming lessons for her dog "Ashton", for training lessons from her.
I am also taking a College Class on line and Kelsey has helped me with questions and ideas.
I would highly recommend Kelsey for any dog related activities, as she is very sincere, honest, loaded with common sense and has a delightful sense of humor.

Kelsey has been coming to my Veterinary Practice since 1987. I originally met Kelsey when she had a little mixed breed dog named Cricket. Cricket grew into a dog that had more personality than a dozen people. Cricket had her share of medical problems through the years and in treating Cricket I became very familiar with Kelsey and her aspirations for a career in canine behavior. Over the years, she went on the have 3 more dogs after "Cricket". She still has 2 of them, a Doberman and a Maltese. Kelsey has always been extremely proactive about her dog's medical treatment. She had a rather serious problem with her Doberman, and I was able to get her into a study being done on IBS (Irritatable Bowel Syndrome). Thankfully, it turned out to be very treatable, (severe allergies and acute stress to noise). She was put on a very restrictive prescription diet which is working well for her. Kelsey also believes in adequate exercise and gently disciplines for not only her dogs but her clients dogs also. She has on various occasions arrived in my office with other clients' dogs and was as worried about them as she is with her own. I have had clients in my office that mention Kelsey in a highly regarded way, clients that I didn't even know Kelsey knew. Both of Kelsey's dogs are very well trained when they come to my office. She always brought her Maltese when she brought her Doberman, so that he could be socialized, and he would not be afraid when he actually had to have a procedure done. I wish that some of my other clients would be the same with their pets. Kelsey has a very inquiring mind; she always wants to know the diagnosis, treatment and side effects. We have pulled out my medical texts on many occasions and browsed through them for enlightenment.
Kelsey is a dynamic, passionate, caring, funny lady who is humorous as well as serious when it is necessary to be so. I highly recommend her for her training abilities and any pet related services
Kelsey has been nothing but a God send for our hyper dog! After she started doing half hour or more walks with Ra, he was a joy to come home too. I could take my time making dinner knowing he had been exercised thoroughly.
Kelsey takes notice to the small things also. She watches out for the well being of the dog, and is so good about praising them for their good work!
My husband and I highly recommend Kelsey for training or having your dog exercised during the day.
